Son-in-law of ex-President of Georgia detained for a fight, and illegal possession of weapons

Son of the former President of Georgia Giorgi Margvelashvili of the Mindia Gogochuri, arrested for a brawl and unlawful possession of a firearm, according to TV company "Rustavi 2".

The Georgian interior Ministry has not yet released details of the incident, confirmed the information about detention of the Gogochuri.

According to the TV, on the eve of the hotel "Section" in the resort village of Shekhvetili, at the Black sea coast, "there was a skirmish between the Gogochuri and visitor to the hotel, during which the Gogochuri was holding a weapon but didn't fire it". It is reported that the incident injured one person, police arrested the Gogochuri on the spot.

The gogochuri informed several times been in the media spotlight due to incidents. In January 2017, he and another was wounded overnight in the centre of Tbilisi of firearms, in July 2018, he re-injured during the scuffle, and in December of 2018, was arrested for illegal possession of a firearm and failure to report a crime.
