Turkey intends to produce electric car by the end of 2022

The first serial electric Turkey off the Assembly line by the end of 2022, said President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

"Construction is scheduled to be completed in 18 months, and by the end of 2022 from the conveyor will descend first production electric car made in Turkey," said Erdogan at the ceremony of laying the Foundation of a factory in the Bursa province. It quoted the Anadolu news Agency.

According to the Turkish leader of this project in Turkey waited for 60 years. He called the Foundation of the plant "Golden link" in the chain of nationwide megaprojects.

Investment in the project will amount to 22 billion Turkish liras ($3.7 billion), the attachment process will take 13 years.
