On Saturday morning lit up the Cathedral of Saints Peter and Paul. Its construction began in the XV century and lasted 457 years. The Cathedral is one of the largest Gothic churches in France. It is only six meters below the Eiffel tower.

Later it became known that the fire was localized, at the scene worked 104 firefighters and 45 vehicles. According to the Prosecutor of the city of Pierre Sen, the cause of the fire could be arson.
