Power of the Murmansk region was extended to August 1, the regime of high alert in the region due to the tense situation for the coronavirus in a number of cities, including Murmansk and Severomorsk, said the Governor Andrey Chibis at a press conference in an online format.
"According to experts, we came to the plateau - almost 10 days we have a stable number of persons infected with the coronavirus. But the situation in Murmansk, Severomorsk, Kola district, Sochi remains tense. Given this situation, we have decided to extend the high alert till August 1," said Chibis.
He noted that there was no intention to introduce additional constraints, but also to weaken the regime is not planned.
According to the head of the regional Rospotrebnadzor Lena Lukicheva, the increase in cases is mainly in family homes after the establishment of the warm weather. "We have recorded within 180 occasions of the day... We went on a plateau and exactly keep the incidence of disease, although the numbers are very high, the formation goes at the expense of Murmansk and Severomorsk, where the proportion of morbidity is higher than 85%," - said Lukichev.
In the Murmansk region by Thursday recorded more than 7.7 thousand cases, of which more than 3,5 thousand in Murmansk, 477 – in Severomorsk.
