Tour operators have estimated growth in demand for holidays in Russia
Even the explosive demand for summer holidays in Russia will eventually lead to an increase in domestic tourist traffic, only 10-15 percent, stated RIA Novosti Executive Director of the Association of tour operators of Russia (ATOR) Maya Lomidze.
Previously, it was noted that high demand for the southern resorts of Russia and the opening of new Charter programs in the country suggests that the summer season 2020 can already be considered valid.
According to Lomidze, despite explosive demand for travel in Russia, especially in the black sea resorts of the country, the rate of growth of domestic tourism will not increase considerably.
"This is due to the fact that the holiday season because of the pandemic, COVID-19 and the limitations associated with it, in 2020 is very short, even with the extension," said she.
