Peskov urged to remember the lessons given to the Potsdam conference

You need to remember the lessons of history, which gave the Potsdam conference, and in the moments when Russia with many countries slipping to the lowest point of the relationship, to be reminded of these lessons, said press Secretary of the President Dmitry Peskov.

"Of course, the value of the Potsdam cannot be overemphasized. It is difficult to overestimate the importance of the decisions that were taken there. And of course you need to remember these lessons of history, about this experience of history," - said Peskov told reporters.

"And when we have with many countries in many processes roll to the lowest point of our relationship, always very good to remember this", he added.

The third (and last) conference of the leaders of the anti-Hitler coalition countries opened in the Berlin suburb of Potsdam on 17 July 1945. The main topics of the meeting were the German question, the approval of borders in post-war Eastern Europe, the decision on the entry of the USSR into the war against Japan. In Potsdam has created a new system of international relations, key institutions of which are still in use.
