Most of the rivers in Russia have varying degrees of contamination, however, some of the river in Adygea, Krasnodar region, Alania, Volgograd region, Crimea, the Altai, Khakassia, Irkutsk and Kemerovo regions can be recognized relatively clean, according to a review of the status and environmental pollution in the Russian Federation in 2019, published by Roshydromet.
