Sberbank has acquired 80% of "Soyuzmultfilm"

Sberbank and FSUE "Soyuzmultfilm" created a joint venture through the entry of the Bank into a subsidiary of the film Studio "Soyuzmultfilm" at the first stage, the Bank invests more than 1 billion rubles, said in a joint statement of the parties.

Sberbank in August, reported RIA Novosti, together with the "Soyuzmultfilm" will develop a platform for the production of media content.

In the framework of cooperation will create a unique content in the first place - the children's animations will be new projects of the Studio series for preschoolers and school children, feature films for family audiences.

The first Deputy Chairman of the management Board, Lev Khasis at a press conference said that the Bank plans to give the Studio access to its supercomputers and client audiences, but the creative process is not going to interfere. "We will do everything we can in order to enable Russian talents, based on technology opportunities that Sberbank will provide, for the resources that we will provide to make a "Soyuzmultfilm" a leading player not only in Russian market but also in the global market," he said.

So, essentially to expand the international presence of the Studio: the plans - the creation of joint ventures with international players partnerships with distributors in Europe and Asia, increased exports, according to a press release of the parties.
