The Maldives will be opened for tourists from July 15
The Maldives is located on the open desert Islands tourist resorts, hotels and homes from 15 July, with the arrival of tourists waiting for a temperature check, said the Ministry of tourism of the country.
Earlier Tuesday, Executive Director of the Association of tour operators of Russia Maya Lomidze said that eight countries, including the Maldives, officially announced that it is ready to accept Russian tourists on certain conditions.
"Tourists heading for the Maldives will be granted 30-day tourist visa, and they will not be subjected to quarantine on arrival. However, they are required to submit results of medical tests, and travelers with symptoms COVID-19, will be subjected to a PCR test at their own expense", - stated in the message.
As noted in the recommendations of the Ministry, "if the symptoms of the disease shows a tourist in the city needs to be validated by the entire group". Also the decision on carrying out selective PCR tests tourists can take health authorities, and such tests will be borne by the government of Maldives.
Also, tourists during their stay on the Islands it is recommended to wear masks, and people at the airports and the tourism industry – wear protection and to maintain social distance not less than one meter. All arriving to Maldives, tourists are recommended to install the app Trace Ekee for tracking contact with possible infected. If during the holidays the tourists will detect the coronavirus, he is isolated in his room.
It is noted that from 15 July open for booking resorts, hotels and houses located on the Islands and the hotels and guest houses located on inhabited Islands, will be open for booking from 1 August 2020.
