In the Baikonur city for a month, 30 people died from COVID-19

Thirty deaths from exposure to the diagnosis of novel coronavirus infection was in Baikonur at the same cosmodrome in Kazakhstan, the official website of the city administration.

"As of 14 July was 30 deaths with a confirmed diagnosis of coronavirus", - stated in the message.

The first death in the city was recorded on June 18.

"There is a stable epidemiological process. FMBA of Russia controls the situation in Baikonur. The introduction of such drastic measures, I hope, will allow us to avoid a sharp rise in the number of people needing hospital treatment" - quoted the Deputy head of FMBA of Russia Vladimir Romanov, the presence in the city of Baikonur.

Earlier in the city there were strict restrictive measures.

As of July 14, in the infectious hospital for treatment COVID-19 is 152 people, according to the website.
