The Ambassador of Azerbaijan commented on the situation on the border with Armenia
Clash of Azerbaijan and Armenia on the border is a provocation, which purpose - to involve in the conflict Russia and the CSTO and create a hotbed for concern, said the Ambassador of Azerbaijan in Moscow Polad Bulbul oglu.
The diplomat drew attention to the fact that the incident occurred not near Nagorno-Karabakh, where the conflict situation persists for decades, and on the border States.
"Most likely, it is a provocation... it is My personal opinion, this is done in order for this conflict to involve the CSTO and, of course, primarily Russia. Because it is clear that Azerbaijan has bilateral partnerships with all members of CSTO, and it should be noted that Azerbaijan has a fairly strong economic ties with these countries," the Ambassador told the radio station "Echo of Moscow", noting that it is unlikely that soldiers from member countries of the CSTO "will fire at Azerbaijani soldiers, of course, if only at gunpoint".
Therefore, as noted by Bulbul-oglu, it is clear that here the main player - Russia. "And it is clear that they want to create a situation of conflict to stir the CSTO in the process. Of course, Azerbaijan will be represented in the CSTO in all the necessary documents," - he stressed.
"I think the local challenge is to raise the CSTO is, first and foremost Russia, but the global challenge is to create on the perimeter of Russia another source that would bother the Russian Federation", - said the diplomat.
When referring to the current situation with the situation in Karabakh, Bulbul oglu said that "as long as the army of a foreign state located on the territory of Azerbaijan, such conflicts are inevitable." According to the diplomat, "when face-to-face, there are armed people, there can be everything from accidents and planned ending stock."
On Sunday, the clash happened on the border of Armenia and Azerbaijan - Tovuz district, bordering on Georgia, and Tavush Marzes, respectively - within a few hundred kilometers from the unrecognized Nagorno-Karabakh, where the situation was calm. In the place of the attacks are military positions stationed near the village of Movses.
