"Naftogaz" has warned of the threat of disruption of the heating season

"Naftogaz of Ukraine" said the threat of disruption of the heating season because of debts teploproizvoditelnosti, reported on Monday the press service of the company.

Earlier, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has extended a special obligation (PSO) of the NJSC "Naftogaz of Ukraine" for the natural gas supply for needs of the population until August 1, 2020.

"Improper payments for gas from such companies pose a threat to the supply of heat to consumers during the heating season, which is absolutely unacceptable. Now the list includes 109 of the debtors in the total number of teploproizvoditelnosti in Ukraine (at the time of completion of last heating season) in 1316 enterprises", - is reported on the website of the company.

The authorities of Ukraine in 2015 put on "Naftogaz" special obligations to sell gas to the population at regulated prices by the government. Later the effect of these obligations has been repeatedly extended. The Ukrainian government from January 2020 has obliged "Naftogaz of Ukraine" since January to sell gas to the population and heat generating companies according to the price calculation formula which will be linked to gas price on the Netherlands TTF hub.
