The head of the foreign Ministry of Ukraine sees no risk of the annexation of the Donbas by Russia
The Minister of foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba said that he sees no risk of the annexation of the Donbas by Russia.
"The risk of annexation, I'm not seeing. I believe that the Russian Federation is just playing his very difficult and extremely dangerous to her game," - said Kuleba in an interview with "Today", which is posted on the YouTube channel.
He also described as "unacceptable" the words of the Ambassador of Russia in the contact group in Minsk of Boris Gryzlov.
"Statements of mister Gryzlov at the last meeting of the TAG, when he said that on the territory of Ukraine created two new state is unacceptable. And we in such cases severely react. I said that today I will raise this issue with Ministers of foreign Affairs - participants of the Normandy format. I think my colleague Sergey Lavrov, as a very experienced man, a man who very subtly understands international relations and international law, will be able to explain to his counterpart, Mr Gryzlov, that it is, as they say in Ukraine, when he made this statement, had a ball," said Kuleba.
The Ukrainian authorities in April 2014 began a military operation against the breakaway LC and the DNI, which declared independence after a coup in Ukraine in February 2014. According to the latest UN victims of the conflict were about 13 thousand people.
The settlement of the situation in the Donbass is discussed, in particular, during meetings in Minsk the contact group, which from September 2014 adopted three documents regulating the steps to de-escalate the conflict.
