Election of the President of Belarus, which first hit record in the activity of the population and the number of nominees to a crucial stage, according to experts, will come with a newsletter with three or four names, among which no real rivals to the acting head of the Republic Alexander Lukashenko.

In mid-may, when the deadline for the submission of applications on registration of initiative groups, there were 55, which was a record in the history of the country's sovereignty. Then, during three meetings of the Central election Commission the number of candidates was reduced to 15. By the time the climax – the registration of candidates, which should be completed July 14 – fit the seven nominees. "I declare withdrawal from the campaign," "I withdraw my candidacy" - at different times were made by several applicants. Someone wishing to run is now in jail, instead of the other moved his wife.

In an interview with RIA Novosti, the expert did not call the situation a tragedy, but pointed out that the population dissatisfied with the progress of the campaign and is waiting for a change, at least decorative.

By 20 may the refusal received 40 applicants in candidates, thus, the collection of signatures has started 15 people. Until early July, potential candidates had to submit to the CEC a number of documents: application form, Declaration of income and assets. 5 July took place the registration of candidates.

The largest group of support formed of incumbent President Lukashenko – it includes more than 11.4 thousand people. In second place Victor Babariko in the group for nominating him – a little more than 8.9 thousand of the participants. The third position is taken by Oleg Gaidukevich and his group of more than 4 thousand people. By 25 may, Lukashenko has collected 200 thousand signatures.

The first candidate withdrew from the elections on 26 may, it was Gaydukevich, he called during the campaign to support Lukashenka. The twenty-ninth of may detained the opposition leader and blogger Sergei Tikhanovski, he was suspected of application of violence to the police, Lukashenka during communication with the team of the Minsk tractor plant called Tikhanovski "mangy". On the way to the picket in the center of the Belarusian capital on 31 may, "people in mufti" detained opposition politician Mikalai Statkevich. On the same day, those who wish to support alternative candidates stood for hours in queues to pay for the politicians his signature. Statkevich was sentenced to 15 days of administrative arrest.

In early June, problems started in the other contender for the post of President Nikolai Kozlov – the bailiffs have blocked his Bank card and account, this was done for the purpose of payment of accrued administrative fines for participating in unauthorized mass events. Meanwhile at the cottage with my mother Tikhanovski searched, found 900 thousand dollars. CEC head Lidia Yermoshina appealed to the Investigation Committee with a request to check whether the actions of the blogger's attempt to obstruct the elections, and stated that he threatened her. Tikhanovski left in custody until August 8.

On the fifth of June detained the representative of the UCP Vladimir Nepomnyashchikh, but then released without a Protocol. Lukashenko supporters by that time had already collected 1 million signatures in support of the current President.

In the BGB, whose former head of bobariko were called experts among the main rivals to Lukashenka on 11 June were searched. Later account of the electoral Fund of Babariko was blocked. In the case of BGB detained 20 people, among whom was a possible candidate. The state control Committee stated that Bank for several years illegally brought 430 million dollars. The CEC noted that before the verdict of the passive electoral right of Babariko, it is possible to be elected, is not limited, if the results of collection of signatures it will be registered, you will be able to participate in the campaign.

In mid-June, withdrew from the elections, another candidate in the candidates - Natalia Kisel. "We originally did not plan to go further... Wanted to voice their questions and problems, to show that there are the carriers – not the opposition, not the government, and there is also a category of people",- said the head of its initiative group of Siarhei Shtoda.

Then after the social network announced the refusal from the further participation in elections musician Alexander Tabolich. "Support the candidate who will have a close and my colleagues and position on conservation and the protection of Belarus' independence, preservation of traditions and national values," he wrote on his page in Facebook.

Also in June, the Chairman of the opposition movement "For Freedom" Yury Hubarevich has received 15 days of administrative arrest for violation of order of holding mass events. After the decision had left him at liberty, but on 19 June he declared that stops participation in the election campaign.

Thus, the signatures in his support to the CEC handed over seven candidates: Lukashenko, babarika, the former head of the HTP administration Valery Tsepkalo, co-chair of the NGO "Tell the truth" Andrey Dmitriev, Chairman of the Belarusian social-democratic "Hramada" Sergey Caraceni, former MP Anna Konopacka and Tikhanovski. Babariko remained in custody as spouse Tikhanovski, and 29 June, the Ministry of internal Affairs of Belarus has informed that preliminary examination is conducted with respect Tsepkalo: "received materials at the request of the citizen of Turkey of those facts of illegal activity". Later in the CEC reported that Tsepkalo was not able to collect sufficient for registration as a candidate number of signatures. To withdraw from a race and Carecen – he launched an online poll whether he should continue the fight.

There are a number of grounds on which the Central election Commission of Belarus will certainly refuse to register a candidate, for example, the presence of candidate priors. Will cull those who had submitted all the necessary documents. Candidates are prohibited from use in the interests of electing cash or other material assistance from abroad, in case such assistance will not register candidates. The CEC has the right to refuse registration if the applicant submitted false Declaration of income and property – their own or immediate family. The Commission may also withdraw from the race of the applicant, if in the collection of signatures have been documented cases of coercion and reward voters.

Member of the Council for interethnic relations under the President of Russia Bogdan Bezpalko in conversation with RIA Novosti skeptical about the prospects of the main opponents of Lukashenka, suggesting that in the Bulletin of 9 August will be three or four names, including the leader of the Republic. His opponents are eliminated artificially, said Bezpalko.

"The unprecedented activity of the population, citizens are actively subscribed, were formed kilometer queue. Preferences of the population change, but by peaceful nature," he said.

According to him, the detained presidential candidates, even if they will be released after the election, will not be able to fulfill its mission and to compete with Lukashenko. "What can they do? To fight political and media methods – to organize political parties to launch a campaign to discredit the elections," - said the expert.
