Lavrov commented on the book of Bolton
The Russian foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said he had not read the book itself, the former national security Advisor of US President John Bolton, but only a description of the individual plots, but noted that some things in it embellished.
"I don't read the memoirs of John Bolton, but read, of course, the description of individual scenes that went into this book. Well, it is clear that Bolton has its own view on Russian-American relations and the American mission in the world, on how America should treat the world order and how this order has to be," Lavrov said during an online session, "Primako readings."
According to the Minister, any book that's up to the author, ideally, needs to sell well and for this you need to generate interest from readers, which help some of the hot topics. Lavrov added that in America almost anyone, having served a year and a half or two for public office, writes a book.
"I leave on the conscience of John and the presentation of the material, and in General, the disclosure in the text of some spicy, delicate details, leave it to his conscience and clear embellishing Washington's activity in a given situation", - said the Russian foreign Minister.
In the book "the Room where it happened: a memoir of the White house," Bolton describes his work in the White house in the years 2018-19. Bolton, in particular, quite openly talks about the talks at the highest level, including with the Russian side, in which he participated, and also cites some private meetings at the White house, the witness of which he was, as an Advisor to trump.
