The U.S. approved the sale of Japan 105 aircraft F-35
The U.S. approved the sale of 105 Japanese military aircraft F-35 at $23 billion, reported the Agency for defense cooperation, included in the structure of the Ministry of defense.
The government of Japan had previously requested a contract for the supply of 63 units modify the F-35A, 42 aircraft vertical takeoff F-35B and it 110 F135 engines, including five spare.
The state Department concluded that the contract conforms to US interests because it helps major ally, Japan.
Latest F-35 should replace the outdated F-4 Phantom, which previously was in service in Japan.
