In Krasnoyarsk region have detained the organizers of a network of underground casinos
The police covered in Krasnoyarsk Krai the gang organize a network of underground gambling clubs, the income from which has exceeded 83 million rubles, said the official representative of the Russian Ministry of internal Affairs of Irina Volk.
According to her, the gang consisted of the organizers, the dealer, the administrators of the gambling halls. Attackers opened more than 10 underground clubs in Krasnoyarsk and Zheleznogorsk.
Police detained 12 suspects. A criminal case under article "Illegal organization and conduct of gambling", which sanction provides till six years of imprisonment with the penalty to 1 million roubles.
As reported RIA Novosti, the official representative of the regional GSPC Olga Shamanskaya, two more suspects are wanted. According to her, criminal proceedings were instituted against 14 of the Krasnoyarsk region residents aged from 27 to 35 years.
Gambling in Russia from July 1, 2009 is prohibited, except in special zones: in Primorye, the Altai, near Kaliningrad, Sochi and Crimea.
