Head of investigators has proposed to close a number of cases against Poroshenko
The head of the group of investigators investigating the case, in which appears eks-the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko, Oleg Koretsky believes that in a number of cases against the former head of state is not a crime and should be closed.
Previously, lawyers Poroshenko said that the head of a group of investigators of the state Bureau of investigation has admitted to pressure from the management in matters relating to Poroshenko
"Just saying that from my point of view, the number of criminal proceedings (cases against Poroshenko – ed.), which today is definitely not a crime. In some even a crime at all, no," Koretsky said in an interview to the Internet edition "Commander".
He noted that three months ago he had disagreements with the leadership of the state Bureau of investigation after he has closed several files, which featured Poroshenko, as has expired a time allowed for production. "Then, as I understand it, what became of them (the leadership of the state Bureau of investigation – ed.) is generally undesirable, they said, "We don't see you here, come!". I said that he will not resign. In response to: "Then we will cut you". Saying: "Try, cut, we will sue", told Koretsky.
According to him, after that he took a case of alleged evasion Poroshenko from taxes when buying a TV "Straight", and there's also the matter of the appointment of Sergei Semochko first Deputy head of the foreign intelligence Service of Ukraine. He added that he was confident that "the case Semochko" there is no crime, because the state was not harmed.
Koretsky did not rule out that after his communication with the press he will be fired from the state Bureau. "On their (leadership – ed.) the following, they can and searches to come to me to hold, can hold. These are the people," he added. The investigator also said he was ready to testify about the pressure on the investigation from the management of the state Bureau of investigation in cases involving Poroshenko, if the case is filed.
The Pechersky district court of Kiev on Wednesday upheld the consideration of the petition for election measures of restraint in the form of the personal obligation Poroshenko in the case of the appointment of Sergei Semochko first Deputy head of the foreign intelligence Service in connection with the preliminary investigation.
The state Bureau of investigations of Ukraine Poroshenko suspects that in 2018 he made holding then a post of the head of the foreign intelligence Service of Yegor God to appoint his Deputy Semochko - at that time the chief of the Kiev Department of security Service of Ukraine. Poroshenko and his lawyers refused to accept a suspicion they think he tried to give illegal. In July 2018 Semochko was appointed first Deputy head of the foreign intelligence Service. Poroshenko, who was then President, in April 2019 fired Semochko. Later Semochko appealed to the Supreme court the decree on his dismissal.
