Patrushev denied the information about the "conspiracy" of Russia with the Taliban

Russia has never cooperated with the Taliban, and any collusion of Moscow with the Taliban, saying only those who are either poorly versed in the situation in Afghanistan or deliberately distorts the facts, said Secretary of the Russian security Council Nikolai Patrushev.

The American newspaper New York Times 26 June published an article with the assertion that a division of Russian military intelligence encouraged the Taliban for a fee attacks on troops of the international coalition in Afghanistan. "It's a ridiculous assertion. They can only tell those who are poorly versed in the situation in Afghanistan or deliberately distorts the real situation in the region", - said Patrushev in an interview to the newspaper "Arguments and facts".

"In this regard, any allegations that our country has entered with the Taliban in a conspiracy, especially with the purpose of killing American troops, have under itself no bases", - said Patrushev.
