Iran thanked Russia for helping in the fight against coronavirus

Tehran expresses gratitude to Moscow for the rendered help in the fight against coronavirus, said Iranian Ambassador to Russia Kazem Jalali.

"The people and the government of Russia has shown that they are in solidarity with the people and government of Iran. And we are grateful for the assistance provided to us to combat coronavirus. And also grateful to Mr. (Russian President Vladimir) Putin because he raised the issue of creating a "green corridor" that will supply us with grain and food. It's really a humane view, which is opposed to arrogant. Thank you very much," said Jalali in an interview with TV channel "Russia 24".

The total number of infected in Iran since February 19, when authorities first reported the detection of coronavirus infection COVID-19, reached 243 051, victims – 11 731. At this moment recovered 204 083 people.
