The police of Kazakhstan revealed the facts of sale of drugs at prices inflated by tens of times, after carrying out raids on identification of illegal trafficking in drugs and sale of drugs at inflated prices in conditions of shortage of drugs because of the pandemic coronavirus, reported the press service of the interior Ministry of the Republic.

In Shymkent police delivered local resident that implemented medication "Lavamac" for 12 thousand tenge ($30), which is more expensive than the official retail price six times. Another resident of Shymkent city, working as a pharmacist in a pharmacy, sold vials of the drug "Dexamethasone-Agio" on 5 thousand tenge ($12) at a retail price of 600 tenge ($1.5). In the Turkestan region (in the South) the man sold the "Ascorbic acid" on 5 thousand tenge ($12), which is 20 times more expensive than its regular retail prices.

In just the first day of the RAID events to the police were delivered to more than 20 people seized more than 3.5 thousand packages of medications, and 17.8 thousand medical protective masks, 60 packages of disposable gloves, 105 protective gowns (coveralls), 80 pairs of eyewear, 79 thermometers and more than 100 tanks (300 litres) antiseptic.
