Media: the airline to the Far East plan to create on base "Aurora"
Airline to the Far East it is planned to create on the basis of subsidiary airline "Aeroflot" - "Aurora", writes on Monday, the newspaper "Vedomosti" with reference to the road map of the Ministry of transport of the Russian Federation.
As told the publication the employees of the two airlines far Eastern Federal district (FEFD) and confirmed two Federal officials, the Ministry of transport in late June sent out to other ministries, the government of the Sakhalin region, "Aeroflot" and "Aurora" road map for the creation of far Eastern airline.
Russian President Vladimir Putin in January ordered the government to study the establishment of an airline with Russian aircraft to transport to the far East, and in remote areas of the country. The head of Rosaviation Alexander Neradko said that the airline may be established on the basis of the current carrier. Aeroflot offered for this child, "Aurora", but it may be a new company.
As follows from the document of the Ministry of transport, the new airline is not planned to create from scratch. To develop transportation using budget grants expected on the basis of "Aurora", the largest airline in the far Eastern Federal district (51% belongs "to Aeroflot", 49% in Sakhalin region). According to the newspaper, the "Aurora" on the instructions of the government and jointly with regional administrations prepared the concept of development of transport in the far East. The concept was completed in June and also sent out for review.
"Aurora" concept implies the widely used medium-haul aircraft Airbus 320, the project also will require an additional five SSJ100. According to the concept, the future of the far Eastern airline will carry on the SSJ100 800 thousand people per year, and for Airbus a 320 at 1.6 million.
Two Federal officials said that the document has not been approved and is to be considered.
