Supervise the implementation of the law and monitoring any related to UAV activity will be implemented by the civil aviation authority of Dubai (Dubai Civil Aviation Authority) with the support of air navigation Services in the Emirate (Dubai Air Navigation Services). The Agency is entrusted with, in particular, to license the use of drones, which should be necessarily registered in the Emirate, to approve the flight routes to monitor the launches of UAVs in designated flight zones and testing in accordance with local legislation and international agreements with the participation of the UAE.
The law applies to all types of drones used except for military purposes, but military UAVs should be used in coordination with the civil aviation authority of Dubai for security reasons, the report said.
At the same time Control and police "can allow state agencies to use drones for security purposes, rescue operations, fire fighting, surveillance or other purposes in the public interest" , including to collect information and statistical data, transport control, providing various services to the population, maintenance of infrastructure and other.
In 2017 in Dubai, a resolution was adopted on the safety of airspace relating to compulsory registration of drones in their system and providing penalties for violations.
