The situation with accident rate on objects of "Norilsk Nickel" alarming, its neglect can lead to tragic consequences, a number of serious problems requires comprehensive action by the management, said in a press release RTN.

"The overall situation with the accident and injury described as alarming. Emphasized that there are several serious issues requiring integrated action by the management staff of enterprises, the neglect of which, in their opinion, could lead to even more disastrous consequences than the accident at the CHPP-3", - is spoken in the message of Department following the meeting of the heads of Rostechnadzor and Norilsk Nickel.

The meeting included presentations based on analysis of audits over the last few years, as well as unscheduled inspections conducted by Rostechnadzor after an accident with oil spill in Norilsk.

According to the Rostechnadzor, the first Vice-President – operations Director of "Norilsk Nickel" Sergey Dyachenko expressed readiness in details to understand all the examples presented in the reports and to draw the appropriate conclusions, including correcting violations and preventing such incidents in the future.

In turn, the Deputy head of Rostekhnadzor Alexander Trembicki pointed out that the work to correct violations will be insufficient and it is necessary to develop a detailed plan of action to remedy the situation. The proposal was supported by the head of Rostekhnadzor Alexey Aleshin, who instructed to assess for sufficiency of actions of "Norilsk Nickel". Also, Aleshin has proposed be required to Supplement the plan activities related to the implementation of digital projects RTN – remote monitoring systems and applications "Electronic inspector", aimed at forecasting the risk of accidents.
