Ex-Colonel Zakharchenko was transferred to Mordovian colony

Ex-Colonel of the interior Ministry Dmitry Zakharchenko was transferred from specblock 99/1 "Matrosskaya Tishina" back to the Mordovian colony, told RIA Novosti attorney Alexander Gorbatenko.

"He expired a deadline of stay in the detention center without election of a measure of restraint," said Gorbatenko.

Previously Zakharchenko was taken to the SIZO "Matrosskaya Tishina" in Moscow from Mordovia prison where he is serving time to introduce a new criminal case of bribery.

Zakharchenko, who oversaw the fight against crimes in the fuel and energy complex, was arrested on 9 September 2016, he was charged with several counts of bribery. The huge attention the case received after the media became aware of the discovery to the sister of the Colonel of the warehouse with almost 9 billions of rubles in different currencies. The origin of the money of corruption could not explain, they are now confiscated to the state Treasury. Zakharchenko received 12.5 years of the colony, in mid-November from the Metropolitan detention center he went to serve his sentence in the Mordovian colony №5. This institution deals with re-education of former employees of the interior Ministry and Prosecutor's office, the conditions in it are highly appreciated by human rights defenders.
