The death toll from rains in southwest China reached 19
At least 19 people were killed, three reported missing as a result of heavy rains in Sichuan province in southwest China, said Friday the Agency Xinhua citing a government statement.
Earlier it was reported 12 dead and 10 missing.
It is reported that in the affected area deployed the police, firefighters, medical personnel and employees of other organizations that are working to rescue and elimination of consequences of natural disasters. People affected by the disaster, distributing mineral water, rice, and other necessary living items.
Earlier it was reported that the downpour that hit the County Magnin 26 June, led to flooding in the city Yihai. In the disaster area are almost 10 thousand people, a total of more than 7,700 local residents had been evacuated.
