The Finance Ministry has no plans to change the currency structure of the national welfare Fund (NWF), Deputy Minister of Finance Vladimir Kolychev.

"I think we all realized. That is, we did it more like the structure of foreign exchange reserves of the Central Bank. Additional changes not yet discussed", - he told journalists, answering the question about the change in the currency structure of the Fund.

Now the NWF can be invested in US dollars, euros, pounds sterling, Australian and canadian dollars, Swiss francs, Japanese yen and Chinese yuan.

According to the Deputy Minister, at the end of this year the volume of the liquid part of the Fund will be about 7 trillion rubles. "About 7% of GDP. It is the amount of reserve assets, not including other assets. And the money is slightly more than 7 trillion," said he, answering the question of the amount of the NWF at the end of the year.

NWF at the end of 2019 amounted to 7.8 trillion rubles. And in March, when the Finance Ministry transferred to the Fund bought in last year the budget rule currency, the Fund reached a peak 12,856 trillion, or 11.3% of GDP, the volume of liquid was 9.8% of GDP. On June 1, the amount of the Fund was $ 12,161 trillion rubles.
