In Azerbaijan increased penalties for lack of medical masks
President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev approved amendments to the Code of administrative violations, implying an increase in fines for non-use of medical masks in the epidemic of the coronavirus almost two times.
Earlier, the Azerbaijani Parliament adopted a bill providing for tougher penalties for non-use of medical masks in the epidemic COVID-19, according to which the fines increase by almost two times, for a repeated violation plan to charge up to $ 470.
"President Ilham Aliyev has approved the amendments to the Code of administrative violations. According to the law, increased fines for failure to use personal protective equipment in the period of anti-epidemic regime, sanitary and quarantine modes", - the press service of Aliyev.
The changes will take effect from the date of signing. Under the amendments, for violation of requirements of use of means of individual protection of the respiratory tract in the period of anti-epidemic, sanitary-hygienic and quarantine regimes, and also for failure to prevent violations of these requirements, individuals will be fined 50 manat ($29), official persons – 100 AZN ($59), legal entities – for AZN 200 ($118). For repeated during the year violation of the individuals were fined 100 manats, official persons – 200 AZN, legal entities – AZN 400 ($235).
In accordance with the project a doubling of the fines for this offense. Thus, for a repeated violation natural persons will be fined in the amount of 200 manats, official persons – 400 AZN, legal entities – AZN 800 ($470).
The bill was put to vote and adopted. For the final entry into force of the amendments requires the approval of the document by the President.
