In Bashkiria the amendments to the Constitution supported 88,68% of the voters
Amendments to the Constitution of the Russian Federation supported 88,68% of the population of Bashkiria opposed to 10.6% of the electorate, said the Chairman of the CEC of the Republic Ilona Makarenko.
According to her, the voting was 2.76 million residents of Bashkortostan, which is 90,83% of the number included in the lists of participants of voting. In the capital activity amounted to 86,85%, the average for cities – 88,28%, the average for the districts 93,73%.
A nationwide vote on amendments to the Constitution of the Russian Federation was scheduled for 22 April, but then postponed because of the epidemic of coronavirus in the country. Later, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree on a new date for voting on 1 July. Because of the need to take into account the epidemiological situation and the security of the population, it was decided that the Russians will be able to vote all week from 25 June to 1 July.
