Klishas said about trying to influence the vote on the amendments outside
Attempts to influence the vote of Russians for amendments to the Constitution of the Russian Federation outside, but the period when it is possible to manipulate the opinions of citizens was held, said the head of the Federation Council Committee on constitutional legislation, co-chair of the working group on amendments to the basic law Andrei Klishas.
"We believe they (attempt to influence the vote was - ed.) but I want to say that their effectiveness was minimal... Attempt certainly was, but it seems to me that the periods when it was possible to manipulate people, to manipulate the citizens of the country have passed", - said Klishas told reporters.
A nationwide vote on amendments to the Constitution of the Russian Federation was scheduled for 22 April, but then postponed because of the epidemic of coronavirus in the country. Later, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree on a new date for voting on 1 July. Because of the need to take into account the epidemiological situation and the security of the population, it was decided that the Russians will be able to vote all week from 25 June to 1 July.
