In the Kursk region to 15.00 voted for amendments 53,28% of voters

Voter turnout in the Kursk region to vote on amendments to the Constitution of the Russian Federation at 15.00 Moscow time amounted to 53,28%, informs regional election Committee.

In the Kursk region was 920 404 of the voter, in the region 1131 is open the polling station.

"For 15.00 MSK on July 1, the total number who participated in voting amounted to 53,28% of the number of citizens included in the list of voters on the territory of the region", - stated in the message of the election Committee.

As noted by the election Committee, most actively vote in Pulkovskom (85,41%), Gorshechenskomu (85,96%) and Organizatsiya (76.2 per cent) regions.

The turnout in the Russian presidential election in 2018 in the region on 15.00 amounted to 45.3 per cent. In the elections of deputies of the state Duma in 2016 15.00 voted of 28.88% of voters.

A nationwide vote on amendments to the Constitution of the Russian Federation was scheduled for 22 April, but then postponed because of the epidemic of coronavirus in the country. Later, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree on a new date for voting on 1 July. Because of the need to take into account the epidemiological situation and the security of the population, it was decided that the Russians will be able to vote all week from 25 June to 1 July.
