French politician praised the voting process in the Crimea

The head of delegation of European politicians, French MEP Thierry Mariani said that the vote on the amendments to the Constitution of the Russian Federation in Crimea is held at a high organizational level of democracy.

The delegation of the European politicians and experts is in the Crimea on a working visit. The delegation consisted of nine people, including five French members of the European Parliament.

In addition, the policy also described the positive experience of early voting.

A similar view was expressed by other members of the delegation.

A nationwide vote on amendments to the Constitution of the Russian Federation was scheduled for 22 April, but then postponed because of the epidemic of coronavirus in the country. Later, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree on a new date for voting on 1 July. Because of the need to take into account the epidemiological situation and the security of the population, it was decided that the Russians will be able to vote all week from 25 June to 1 July.
