In Abkhazia, more than thousand Russians voted for amendments

More than thousand Russians in Abkhazia voted by noon on the amendments to the Constitution of the Russian Federation, the only polling stations opened in Abkhazia at eight in the morning in the premises of the consular Department of the Embassy of Russia in Sukhumi, reports RIA Novosti.

Take part in voting of Russian citizens permanently residing or temporarily residing on the territory of Abkhazia. Before entering the voters handed out protective masks and process antiseptic hand. Near the Embassy is on duty ambulance.

A nationwide vote on amendments to the Constitution of the Russian Federation was scheduled for 22 April, but then postponed due to the difficult epidemiological situation in the country. Later, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced that the vote will take place on 1 July.
