Almost 44% of inhabitants of Yaroslavl region voted on the amendments
Almost 44% of the voters of the Yaroslavl region to 10.00 Moscow time have voted for amendments to the Constitution of the Russian Federation, told journalists the Chairman of the regional electoral Commission Oleg Zakharov.
A nationwide vote on amendments to the Constitution of the Russian Federation was scheduled for 22 April, but then postponed because of the epidemic of coronavirus in the country. Later, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree on a new date for voting on 1 July. Because of the need to take into account the epidemiological situation and the security of the population, it was decided that the Russians will be able to vote all week from 25 June to 1 July.
The total turnout for the Russian presidential election in 2018 in the region amounted to more than 64%. On the election of deputies of the state Duma in 2016, voted for 37.7% of residents of the Yaroslavl region.
