In the Omsk region, 58% of voters voted for amendments to 12.00

The turnout for the vote on the amendments to the Constitution of the Russian Federation in the Omsk region amounted to 58% to 12.00 local time (9.00 Moscow time) reported to journalists by the Chairman of the regional election Commission.

"Now (as of 12:00 Omsk time) about 58% voted, taking into account those people who voted before. A good turnout, as this activity we have not seen almost, probably never. All is well, all is going normally, without violations ", - said journalists the Chairman of the regional election Commission Alexey Nesterenko.

Today in the Omsk region opened 1734 site. According to the head of the electoral Commission of Omsk region, only the region from 25 to 29 June voted by more than 750 thousand people - about 50% of the number of voters. Basically, according to Alexey Nesterenko, the voters voted in premises which were equipped in accordance with sanitary and epidemiological norms.

The vote in the Omsk region is in compliance with required security measures. As noted in the press center of administration of Omsk, over the course of the nationwide vote at precinct 451 in the city followed more than a thousand observers.

A nationwide vote on amendments to the Constitution of the Russian Federation was scheduled for 22 April, but then postponed because of the epidemic of coronavirus in the country. Later, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree on a new date for voting on 1 July. Because of the need to take into account the epidemiological situation and the security of the population, it was decided that the Russians will be able to vote all week from 25 June to 1 July.
