The headquarters of Babariko complained to the election commissions, rejection of signatures
The headquarters of candidate for presidency of Belarus, former head of Belgazprombank Victor Babariko announced that it has submitted to territorial election commissions of the Republic the number of complaints a significant rejection of the signatures collected in support of nomination politics.
Earlier, the CEC of Belarus has published the summary statistics of valid signatures in support of each of the seven participants in the presidential election. It follows from this that the campaign continued six people, including Babariko, the current Belarusian leader Alexander Lukashenko, co-Chairman of public Association "Tell the truth" Andrey Dmitriev, Chairman of the Belarusian social-democratic "Hramada" Sergey Caraceni, former MP Anna Konopacka and unemployed Svetlana Tikhanovski.
"Today, the CEC announced that after the first stage of checks we have a valid 165744 signature. We do not agree with this decision. We filed 365000 signatures and want to know what happened to the other 200 000. Today we sent the complaint in 11 district election commissions across the country", - stated in the message of staff of the Telegram.
He also notes that fellow Babariko will receive complaints and other commissions as soon as I receive from official information.
Earlier, the head of the Central election Commission of the Republic Lidia Yermoshina has told RIA Novosti that the meeting, which will address the issue of registration or non-registration of presidential candidates will be held on July 14. However, 100 thousand signatures of voters recognized on the basis of checks reliable, is not the only factor that is taken into account in this case. The members of the CEC may refuse to register a candidate, if the period of collecting signatures from the applicant or members of his initiative group documented violations of the electoral legislation.
Presidential elections are scheduled in Belarus on 9 August. The stage of submitting documents to the CEC for registration of candidates takes place from 20 June to 4 July inclusive. To date, the relevant documents filed by all candidates for President, except for Lukashenko.
