A tanker with Azeri oil for Belarus arrived in the port of Ukraine

Tanker with 85 thousand tons of Azerbaijani oil for Belarus arrived in the Ukrainian port "South", it is planned that 10-15 July, the oil will go to the Belarusian refinery in Mozyr, told RIA Novosti on Tuesday the press-Secretary of the state concern "Belneftekhim" Alexander Tishchenko.

Earlier Tishchenko has informed that Minsk within the framework of diversification of oil supplies to its refineries has purchased another tanker of oil from the state oil company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR).

He also said that the company continues to work on tanker deliveries of oil to Belarus in July.

In March of this year, the Minsk was purchased from Azerbaijan's SOCAR about 250 thousand tons of oil transshipment in the port of Odessa. Earlier, the Chairman of "Belneftekhim" Andrei Rybakov reported that SOCAR in 2020 can supply to Belarus up to a million tons of oil.

Currently, Belarus diversifitsirovat the purchase of raw materials for its two oil refineries in the background of periodic price differences with major and traditional supplier - Russia. Continuing to buy Russian oil supplies through the main Druzhba pipeline and by rail, Belarus is also working with the alternative transportation routes of raw materials to these plants. Oil is delivered by sea through the ports of Klaipeda and Odessa. From the port in Odessa, the supply flows through the pipe Odessa - Brody and further on one of the branches of the main oil pipeline "Druzhba" on the refinery in Mozyr, from the port in Klaipeda by rail to the refinery in Novopolotsk.

Since the beginning of this year in Minsk, along with Azerbaijan, also bought oil from Norway, Saudi Arabia and the United States.
