In Ukraine, more than 30 settlements remained without electricity because of bad weather
More than 30 settlements in two regions of Ukraine were left without electricity due to bad weather, the territory of the Western regions remain flooded 147 houses, said Tuesday the press service of the civil service of the country for emergency situations.
According to the press service, on the territory of Ivano-Frankivsk, Chernivtsi, Lviv and Ternopil regions continue works on liquidation of consequences of floods in 19 villages remain flooded 147 homes, flooded basements and 545 982 infield, destroyed 150 miles of roads and 95 bridges and also damaged the 551 kilometre of roads and bridges 214.
Rescuers during the day, pumped more than 48 thousand cubic meters of water delivered to the population of 1.3 million pounds of food.
Just to eliminate the consequences of bad weather were attracted 542 human and 224 units of equipment, including two helicopters.
Last week the interior Ministry of Ukraine has introduced emergency security measures because of bad weather in Ivano-Frankivsk and Chernivtsi regions of the country. Heavy precipitation also affected the Lviv, Transcarpathian and Ternopil region. In the state service for emergency situations said that due to the bad weather, three people were killed and another was missing. The Ministry of foreign Affairs of Ukraine has asked the EU and NATO to help in the aftermath of the floods.
