Study: the size of the average mortgage credit began to grow again

The average mortgage loan in Russia began to grow again: in may, it increased by 2.9% compared with a decline of 8.2% in April, according to a study by the National Bureau of credit histories (nbki), which is available to RIA Novosti.

As a result, at the end of last month the average size mortgage loan in the country has increased to 2.47 million RUB from 2.4 million in April. However, it is still below the March figure of 5%. If compared with the same period last year, in may 2020, he actually remained unchanged, an increase of only 1.2%.

The largest average size of mortgage loans in may of this year was marked in Moscow, despite the fact that the region has become a leader in the dynamics of the reduced in the month, the average mortgage rate fell 4.6%, to 5.08 million. At the same time in Moscow region the rate increased slightly by 1.9% to 4.04 million rubles.

The third place on size of a mortgage loan has taken St. Petersburg, where he last month grew by 6.3%, to 3.26 million rubles. The fourth is located Primorsky Krai from 3.25 million, the fifth - Leningrad oblast from 2.99 million rubles.

A leader in the growth of the average size of mortgages in may compared with April was the Krasnodar region, where the figure rose by almost a third. Also the sharp rise shown by the mortgage in the Vologda region ( 14,5%) and Saint Petersburg ( 6,5%). At the same time in several regions of the average mortgage, in contrast, continued to decline: in addition to Moscow, the decline in the average mortgage rate of 4.6% was recorded in the Rostov region. In Stavropol Krai had dropped by 4.5%, in Samara oblast - by 4.2%, and in Orenburg - 3.6%.

The General Director nbki Alexander Vikulin indicated that the increase was largely due to the decrease in mortgage rates in the market due to the reduction of the key rate and programs gospodari. "Reducing interest rates, as a rule, attracted to the market of citizens with high personal credit rating and acceptable debt ratios. But such borrowers, the banks delegate a significant amount of money," he said.
