Putin awarded the volunteer Svetlana Yurieva order Pirogov posthumously

The President of Russia Vladimir Putin has awarded the order of the Pirogov volunteer Svetlana Yurieva posthumously, the relevant text of the decree published on the Kremlin website.

Putin signed the Decree "About rewarding with the state awards of the Russian Federation".

Earlier, the participants of the all-Russian action "We are together" asked Putin posthumously to award Svetlana Yurieva from the village Karsun of the Ulyanovsk region, which has struggled with cancer and this was one of the most active volunteers of the project.

"For dedication in the fight against coronavirus infection (COVID-19), to award the order Pirogov Yurievo Svetlana Borisovna - volunteer, Ulyanovsk oblast (posthumously)", - stated in the text of the decree.

According to all-Russian public movement "Volunteer doctors", 19-the summer student of medical College Svetlana Nurieva from the village Karsun of the Ulyanovsk region was one of the most active volunteers of the project "We are together", she carried products the elderly people living alone, per month self-fulfilled 30 applications. In early may, the student felt ill, she was admitted to the hospital, where doctors found the girl with an inoperable cancer of the fourth degree. May 12, Svetlana was discharged from the hospital, and she continued to work as a volunteer on may 22, it was again hospitalized, and on may 31 the girl died.
