Seven teams of doctors from Moscow who went to the regions to combat COVID-19, returned home, the press service of the Moscow Department of health on Monday.

"About 60 doctors in Moscow who went on behalf of (the Moscow mayor) Sergei Sobyanin in the Russian regions to assist local doctors in the fight against coronavirus, back in Moscow. Capital specialists worked two weeks in Ingushetia, North Ossetia – Alania, Dagestan Republic, Zabaykalsky Krai, Kamchatka, Vladimir, and Pskov. Returning teams visited 62 medical organizations in 27 towns of Russia", - stated in the message.

It is noted that the Moscow doctors were able to inspect and advise more than 2.2 thousand patients. At the initiative of the capital's doctors 57 patients with coronavirus in serious condition was transported from remote communities in major COVID centers, four of them – with the assistance of air ambulance. In Pskov, Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous district and Kamchatka have already arrived the new medical team from Moscow.

"Since the end of may were sent to the regions 17 teams - more than 130 of the Moscow physicians. In total for a month the doctors examined 5,2 thousands of patients Russia. Each part of multi-disciplinary teams sent to the regions, working pulmonologists, infectious disease specialists, anesthesiologists-Intensivists, radiologists, surgeons, intensive care nurses and other professionals with experience in the redevelopment of hospitals for the treatment of a coronavirus," - reads the material.

Previously, assistance to the regions was delivered medical cargo, which included 18.5 million medical masks, 750 thousand respirators, 700 thousand protective suits, 346 vehicles non-invasive ventilation, oxygen concentrator 123, 40 thousand pairs of reusable points, 325 thousand rapid tests for coronavirus and other medical equipment. In addition, the regions were sent a supply of medicines in more than 280 thousand packages. Such assistance to the regions will continue in the future.
