In Rossotrudnichestvo assessed the voting on the amendments in Afghanistan

Russian citizens in Afghanistan, but they actively vote on amendments to the Constitution of the Russian Federation, including citizens of Afghan origin, told RIA Novosti the representative of Rossotrudnichestvo in Kabul Vyacheslav Nekrasov.

According to him, "the Russian Diaspora in Afghanistan is small, and Russian citizens of Afghan origin – a few hundred".

"They all studied, worked and lived for a long time in our country. Most of them feel for her more gratitude," he said, adding that many of them decided to come to the polling station at the Russian Embassy in Afghanistan, and to vote for amendments to the Constitution of our country.

According to him, that motivated their participation in the voting by the fact that the stronger Russia is, the more stable will the situation in Afghanistan.

A nationwide vote on amendments to the Constitution of the Russian Federation was scheduled for 22 April, but then postponed because of the epidemic of coronavirus in the country. Later, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree on a new date for voting on 1 July. Because of the need to take into account the epidemiological situation and the security of the population, it was decided that the Russians will be able to vote from 25 June to 1 July.
