Embassy in Latvia told about the polling stations for voting on amendments
Living in Latvia Russian citizens will be able to vote in the referendum on amendments to the Constitution of the Russian Federation on the five sites reported on the website of the Russian Embassy in the Republic.
"To take part in the referendum on amendments to the Constitution of the Russian Federation, its citizens will be able (in the Embassy and consular buildings - ed.) in Riga, Antonijas street 2, street Smilshu, 3 and on street Kr. Polling stations will be open on 1 July from 8.00 to 20.00 (same as GMT).
Ballots issued to voters upon presentation of a Russian passport or identity document of a citizen, which citizens enter Russia.
A nationwide vote on amendments to the Constitution of the Russian Federation was scheduled for 22 April, but then postponed because of the epidemic of coronavirus in the country. Later, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree on a new date for voting on 1 July. Because of the need to take into account the epidemiological situation and the security of the population, it was decided that the Russians will be able to vote all week from 25 June to 1 July.
