In Israel, opened for voting on the Constitution for the Russians

For voting on amendments to the Constitution of the Russian Federation opened for the Russians in two cities in Israel, the correspondent of RIA Novosti.

Voting takes place in tel Aviv in the consular Department of the Embassy of the Russian Federation in Haifa at the Consulate General of the Russian Federation.

Russian citizens, permanently residing or temporarily residing in the territory of Israel can vote from 8.00 to 20.00 (same as GMT). At the entrance to the voting area measure temperature and check the availability of the masks.

"The turnout is good, active, some voters came hours before the polls open for voting and all this time waited. There is a certain excitement," - said RIA Novosti Deputy Chairman of the precinct Commission №8094 Fedor George.

Previously on 24 June in Israel already did the early voting, carried out for Russian citizens, who were not able to arrive at the station on 28 June.

A nationwide vote on amendments to the Constitution of the Russian Federation was scheduled for 22 April, but then postponed because of the epidemic of coronavirus in the country. Later, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree on a new date for voting on 1 July. Because of the need to take into account the epidemiological situation is the safety of the population, it was decided that the Russians will be able to vote all week from 25 June to 1 July.
