Kolomoisky demanded against Poroshenko opened a criminal case

The Ukrainian businessman Igor Kolomoisky demands from the General Prosecutor of Ukraine Iryna Venediktova to initiate a criminal case against ex-President Petro Poroshenko who, according to the book of former Advisor to the national security of the United States John Bolton, asked the United States to impose sanctions against the businessman, informs on Saturday Agency "UNIAN" with reference to the statement of the businessman.

"Businessman Igor Kolomoisky wrote a letter to the Prosecutor General of Ukraine Iryna Venediktova, demanding to initiate a criminal case against the ex-President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko on part 1 of article 369-2 of UK of Ukraine ("abuse of influence")", - stated in the message. The Agency also published a photo of the statement.

According to the Agency, the basis for the criminal case became the book of Bolton, in which he describes his first visit to Ukraine in which there is such fragment: "After the meeting (two delegations), Poroshenko took me into another room for a tete-a-tete, where he asked US to support his re-election... and I said "no" to a request for support. But what Poroshenko really wanted sanctions against Igor Kolomoisky, a Ukrainian oligarch who supported (the leader of the party "Batkivshchyna" - ed.) Yulia Tymoshenko, who was, in any case, at that time, the main rival of Poroshenko in the elections of 2019" - is cited in the statement Kolomoisky is an excerpt from the book of Bolton.

While Bolton did not rule out the possibility of support and suggested Poroshenko to transfer to the US Department of justice the evidence against Kolomoisky. Bolton also mentions that Poroshenko expressed the desire to buy more American weapons.

According to Kolomoisky, the book is seen, that Poroshenko from the post of President of Ukraine, suggested the Bolton unlawful advantage for third parties in the form of a significant increase in arms purchases, and in exchange asked him to influence officers of a foreign state, in particular the President of Donald trump, with the aim of imposing sanctions on a businessman.

According to the Agency, Kolomoisky believes that the actions of Poroshenko, there are signs of a crime, the purpose of which was material damage Kolomoisky.
