The British Embassy in Moscow raises the LGBT flag
British diplomats posted at the Embassy in Moscow the rainbow flag in support of the LGBT community.
"So we want to Express our solidarity with the LGBT community in Russia and worldwide", — said on the official website of the diplomatic mission on Twitter.
As stated by diplomats, representatives of sexual minorities "does not require special privileges", but only "decent and respectful attitude" and the rights of other people.
The day before similar action was held and the American Embassy in Moscow. Later, the LGBT flag was removed from the U.S. Embassy.
The Kremlin stressed that any expression of the propaganda of nontraditional sexual relations among minors in Russia is unacceptable.
In 2013 President Vladimir Putin signed a law banning gay propaganda among children. Ordinary Russians it is threatened with the penalty to five thousand roubles, to officials — to 50 thousand, legal entities — up to a million.
