The Communist party at an extraordinary conference put forward the state Duma Deputy Mikhail Shchapova candidate for the elections of the Governor of the Irkutsk region, the press service of the Deputy.
"The Communist party has nominated Michael Shchapova candidate for Governor of the Irkutsk region. This decision was taken unanimously by the 67 delegates of the 52nd extraordinary conference of Irkutsk regional branch of the Communist party, which took place on Saturday 27 June 2020", - stated in the message.
Michael Shchapov was born in the town of Kirensk in Irkutsk region in 1975. More than 10 years working in the Federal security service's economic security and struggle against corruption, directed the operations Department. In 2011 he founded with partners of the agricultural company "Agrobaykal".
