President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko praised the Russians for the Victory day parade in Moscow on June 24 and said that one of the most striking moments was the passage of the Belarusian guard of honor.
Lukashenka on June 24 arrived in Moscow for participation in celebrations in honor of the 75th anniversary of the Victory in the great Patriotic war, with the parade on red square, he watched with his sons.
"Putin, I said - well done! The situation was hard (restrictive measures related to the coronavirus – ed.), but they did it. So big well done," - said Lukashenko on Friday in Soligorsk during the communication with the employees of the enterprise "Belaruskali". His words leads edition "SAT.Belarus today" on its website.
The Belarusian President said that one of the most vivid impressions of the parade was the presentation of the Belarusian guard of honor.
In mid-April, 2020, the President of Russia Vladimir Putin has decided to postpone the parade in honor of the 75th anniversary of the Victory due to the complex epidemiological situation. In Russian cities on may 9 held aviaparade and fireworks. In late may, the President announced that the Victory parade will be held June 24. Belarus at the invitation of the Russian side was represented at the parade of servicemen pivot guard of honor. In the parade on red square were held 73 of the Belarusian troops.
