Russian Ambassador to Germany spoke about the aid organization voting

The Russian side is grateful to the authorities of Germany for assistance in the organization of voting on amendments to the Constitution of the Russian Federation, said in an interview with RIA Novosti Russian Ambassador to Germany Sergei Nechaev.

"We appreciate the willingness of the German colleagues to assist us in ensuring the security of the elections", - said the Ambassador, adding that necessary for the event the consent of the German authorities was "readily available".

According to him, the voting on amendments will take place in Germany, taking into account all sanitary requirements.

"The main priority in the current environment is ensuring the health and safety of voters. Voting in diplomatic and consular missions in Germany will take place on the basis of unconditional observance of requirements of the CEC of Russia together with Rospotrebnadzor, and based on the current sanitary and epidemiological situation in the country. Of course, taking into account the requirements of local authorities applicable to the conduct of such events," said Nechayev.

A nationwide vote on amendments to the Constitution of the Russian Federation was scheduled for 22 April, but then postponed due to the difficult epidemiological situation in the country. Later, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced that the vote will take place on 1 July.

"July 1 at the Embassy in Berlin, as well as all consulates General of Russia in Germany will open polling stations. To use their constitutional right and take part in voting will be available to all our citizens permanently residing or temporarily residing in Germany and have attained the voting day 18 years of age," said Nechayev.
