From the affected flood regions of Ukraine evacuated more than 600 people
More than 600 people were evacuated Ukrainian rescue workers from the affected flood regions of Western Ukraine, 290 people were evacuated, reported the press service of the state service for emergency situations on Friday.
On Monday, the interior Ministry of Ukraine has introduced emergency security measures because of bad weather in Ivano-Frankivsk and Chernivtsi regions of the country. Heavy precipitation also affected the Lviv, Transcarpathian and Ternopil region. In the framework of the state service for emergency situations said that due to the bad weather, three people were killed and another was missing. The Ministry of foreign Affairs of Ukraine has asked the European Union and NATO to help in the aftermath of the flooding in the West country. The Prosecutor's office of Ivano-Frankivsk region opened a criminal case on the fact of massive illegal deforestation, which could lead to a massive flood.
"The most difficult situation remains in the area: 16 districts of Ivano-Frankivsk region. All the forces of gschs rescued 331 people (day 63), evacuated 610 people (day 164), evacuated 290 people (per day 189)," - said on the Agency's website.
The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine at a meeting on Thursday allocated about $ 28 million for liquidation of consequences of floods in the Western part of the country, President Vladimir Zelensky arrived with a working trip in Ivano-Frankivsk region and will hold a meeting on liquidation of consequences of flooding.
